Suzanne Somers was born on October 16, 1946 in San Bruno, California, USA. Perhaps you know her nickname - the Queen of the Jiggles. She is the third child of four kids. Her parents Frank and Marion Mahoney tried to bring up the children. Suzanne's father worked as a loader while her mom was a homemaker. Unfortunately Suzanne grew up in fear of being injured or even killed by her father who was an alcoholic. At early age Suzanne was diagnosed with dyslexia; to add she was a poor student. Despite this the young girl excelled in the arts and was very creative in her school's theater program. She married when she was about 19 and gave a birth to her son Bruce. Her marriage wasn't happy and Suzanne had a love affair with her former drama tutor. In 1967 the pair divorced because her husband found out her treachery. Being a single mom Suzanne Marie decided to try herself as a model in San Francisco. In 1968 she got a job as a prize model on the exciting game show. By the way it was hosted by Alan Hamel who became her husband in several years. In 1970 she played some minor roles in film and television and eventually won a challenging role on the popular series 'Three's Company'. By the way she married Hamel in 1977 and since that time she has been working as an actress. In 1986 the celebrity started writing her autobiography which was later made into a television film.
