At 9 Miley had her on-screen debut in a series Doc (2001-2004), and then starred in Big Fish in 2003. Miley got number of nominations for her role in Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. This show was very popular among teenagers and children and helped Miley to start her singing career. The debut album Hannah Montana soundtrack released in 2006 reached #1 on the Billboard 200. Such a success let Cyrus organized a tour across 39 cities in the US. In 2007 Miley released her second album Hanna Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, which sold even faster than the debut one! It again rushed the top of music charts in the USA and became triple platinum. Then the second tour followed, this time Cyrus gave 69 concerts across the States. It's hard to say "the tickets were sold", actually they were "swept away" long before the date of the concert. Though so young, Miley is a known philanthropist in America. At her 16th birthday she gave $1 million to Youth Service America and gave each $1 from a ticket sold for Hanna Montana tour to City of Hope, a cancer research center. In 2009 she published her own book "Miley Cyrus: Miles to Go", where she gave the detailed description of her life.
